Dr. Jeanne Friedman: - Dr.
Dr. Jeanne Friedman is the NAF Director for the state of Florida and the U.S. Virgin Islands, a not-for-profit organization whose headquarters are stationed in New York, N.Y. Jeanne’s major responsibility is to ensure the NAF goals and standards are being implemented and to provide assistance to the 153 Florida and 8 Virgin Islands academy sites, district offices, and NAF Advisory Boards. Jeanne’s professional career has spanned more than a quarter of a century and her innovative leadership has been exemplified by her success in all levels of education, first as an instructional leader and then as an administrator. She served at the district level as a coordinator for professional development and at the school sites as an elementary assistant principal and principal as well as a high school principal with the Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Her educational experiences have been as diverse as the student populations with whom she has worked. Jeanne’s Doctorate in Educational Leadership was earned at NOVA Southeastern University; her Master of Arts in Speech Communication was from The Pennsylvania State University; and her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education was from Shippensburg University. Jeanne has received innumerable awards and accolades that include honors at all levels of education as well as community recognition as a champion for education.
